The Arts Society Falmouth launched the first Children's Trail in Cornwall at King Charles the Martyr Church (KCM), Falmouth in February 2015.

A group of Year 4 pupils from King Charles School came to use the Trail and were delighted to discover some of the rich Christian symbolism and fascinating history contained in this beautiful Church.

The Vicar, the Reverend Stephen Tudgey, and the Church Musical Director, Richard Bailey, were on hand to talk to the children.  Stephen answered the children’s questions on various topics raised in the Trail, while Richard gave an interesting demonstration of how the organ pipes made different notes, and then treated everyone to a short organ recital.

Two members from the society, Susan Duance and Sue Rider, with help from the KCM Church Administrator, Jenny Hackwell, produced the Trail which is now available to all Junior schools, children’s uniform groups (Brownies, Cubs, etc.) and visitors with children.
